The Question (High School and Middle School):
Should movies and TV shows make jokes about different groups of people and/or differences between groups of people? (i.e. ethnic jokes, religious jokes, gender jokes, jokes about people with disabilities, jokes about different body types, etc.) Do these jokes encourage prejudice and contribute to stereotypes?
In 300 words or less, write an essay describing how you felt about the way humor or jokes were used in a particular movie or TV show.
